The Opportunity:
As a Senior Software Engineer at Bench IQ, you’re not just joining an ambitious startup. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in designing and building Bench IQ’s core technologies and product experiences while shaping the technical direction of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Build features and products from end-to-end from zero-to-one, balancing the need for iteration and learning with scalability and quality.
Be the CTO’s most trusted partner, relied upon to anticipate and solve the most pressing technical challenges
Hold yourself to high technical standards while making deliberate technical and product trade offs.
Proactively investigate opportunities to improve our technology that could lead to significantly more customer and business value.
Make others better through code reviews, pairing, and other forms of teaching and mentorship.
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in software development with expertise in Ruby on Rails, React.js, SQL, or similar web frameworks and technologies.
Demonstrated experience in cloud technologies (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform) and system scalability.
Possesses exceptional problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to tackle complex challenges and deliver solutions in areas beyond their immediate expertise.
Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and continuous learning with the ability to acquire and apply new knowledge and skills
Preferences:
Applied experience with NLP technologies including large language models, vector embeddings, and traditional search (e.g ElasticSearch or Solr).
Experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines to support data processing and analytics workflows.
