Join BenchSci for a 4-month contract internship and contribute directly to our mission of
accelerating drug discovery. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, delivering solutions for
features on small to medium-sized scope and complexity. This is a chance to acquire higher-level
skills while making a tangible difference.
Pay range: $25 - $35 per hour
What you’ll be doing (Scope & Accountability):
● Delivery: Be accountable for delivering solutions for features, typically handling one or
several small tasks up to a medium complexity story.
● Problem Solving: Identify problems and relevant issues in straightforward situations. You
will gather facts and generate possible solutions.
● Team Contribution: Actively contribute to your team, share experiences, and exchange ideas
in a collaborative environment.
● Growth: Demonstrate competence in your core area while actively acquiring new skills.
How you’ll work:
● Execution: Contribute to the execution of specific tasks within your team.
● Guidance: Work with minimal instructions on routine tasks and general instructions on new assignments.
● Clarity: Learn to recognize when information is missing to make a decision and proactively seek clarification from mentors and teammates.
Qualifications (What we're looking for):
● Currently enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
● A strong foundation in programming and software development principles.
● Eagerness to learn, adapt, and seek clarification when needed.
● Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Contract Details:
● Duration: 4 Months (Short-term contract)
● Location: College Street, Toronto
● Start Date: On or before May 1, 2026
