We are looking for a Business Development Representative to join our team.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work on Rentals United, our Channel Manager product. Rentals United is one of the technology leaders in the vacation rentals space, providing an advanced distribution platform for professional short-term rental property managers worldwide. The platform connects property managers to multiple global booking channels in real time, serving as a hub with integrations ranging from OTAs and sales channels to PMSes, including a White Label distribution solution. Since 2014, Rentals United has grown from preventing overbookings to becoming a strategic partner for top STR professionals, helping them execute their sales strategies across the most important channels.
The RU Sales Representative is responsible for driving new business acquisition by engaging with property managers and agencies in the short-term rental industry. Through a consultative approach and in-depth discovery, the role focuses on understanding prospect needs and effectively positioning our platform and services to create strong, high-quality opportunities. Success in this role requires excellent profiling skills, adaptability, and the ability to build long-term, value-driven relationships with clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to evaluate gaps, opportunities, and needs
- Prospecting leads and contacting them to pitch the product/service
- Setting up meetings with the prospective clients
- Presenting product/service demonstrations
- Sales reporting and reviewing performance
- Working towards achieving the sales target
- Keep a record of the prospects and leads in our database
- Work with our CRM system and organize the daily records in order to keep the track of the full sales cycle
- Seek new opportunities through networking, cold calling, and social media channels
- Participate in conferences, exhibitions, and industry meet-ups for business development
- Establishing new business links
Requirements
- Proficiency in English. Spanish, French or other languages are a huge advantage
- Prior sales experience
- Knowledge of MS Office mainly for reporting and documentation
- Deep understanding of negotiating techniques and marketing tactics
- Faster learning ability and passion for sales
- Good presentation skills
- AI tool skills a plus and understanding of handoff between marketing and sales collaboration
- Understanding of the short term rental industry, Property Management Software, Vacation Rental Sites, or Online Travel agencies is an advantage
- Knowledge of CRM or sales management software is an added advantage
