🤑 Base salary range: For this role, candidates located in Canada can expect a base salary range, described in the posting. Actual compensation is determined based on skills, experience, and role level. ​Wealthsimple Operations Associates own and scale processes intelligently, with analytics, grit, and grace. We manage billions of dollars, so the stakes are high. We want to deliver extraordinary experiences that meet our client's on-demand expectations, while being a compliance leader. ​​In this role, you will:

  • Be a key member of the Options clearing team, the team is responsible for Options life cycle management

  • Be responsible for daily execution of all operational critical activities related to options reconciliations, settlements and expiration.

  • Work directly with motivated Operations Associates to ensure the accuracy of the records we hold for clients.

  • Take ownership of critical trade and position reconciliations escalating to the trade desk, counterparties and other teams as necessary to reduce risk.

  • Handle Options Exercise & Assignments reconciliations and postings

  • Troubleshoot, manage and proactively resolve reconciliation differences.

  • Use data to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions.

  • Develop processes to increase the efficiency of our back-office operations.

We're looking for people who:

  • Have 2+ years of experience working at a broker-dealer, managing back-office reconciliations and settlement responsibilities for Equities, Options or Futures at a registered investment dealer.

  • Are passionate about technology, specifically fintech.

  • Are organized with a strong attention to detail and be comfortable working with a large set of data, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Possess strong Excel skills.

  • Are naturally curious: if something seems off, you want to figure out what’s going on.

  • Have excellent communication and collaboration skills, and thrive in a cross-functional environment.

  • Have completed or are pursuing relevant industry courses (CSC, DFOL, derivatives licensing, etc.) are preferred.

  • Available to support early and late hours on rotating shifts as required by market events and settlement cycles.

  • Have experience or familiarity with programming a plus (especially SQL).
