About the Role
As the Manager, Credit Card Funding and Reporting, you will report directly to the Senior Manager, Money Movement Transformation and Treasury Reporting on the Treasury team.
We are seeking a highly skilled and ownership-driven individual to join our growing Cash & Collateral Management team at Wealthsimple. As our credit portfolio scales and new products launch, we need an experienced individual who can build controls, forecasting models, and uplevel frameworks, manage a growing team, and ensure flawless execution with zero compliance misses. Thriving in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment, you'll have a unique opportunity to shape how Wealthsimple's functions at scale—partnering closely with various partners across the company.
In this role, you will:
Own structured credit facility operations end-to-end—execute daily funding decisions, manage compliance, enable or optimize funding levers and develop business requirements as the portfolio grows
Build and maintain forecasting models and sensitivity analyses across payment cycles, utilization rates, and funding projections—translating outputs into real-time funding decisions and product economics insights that inform the business
Lead credit reporting and analytics and own variance analysis, limit and exposure monitoring, and reporting infrastructure; partner with Product and Engineering to resolve discrepancies and drive automation
Develop and maintain operational checklists, runbooks, and go/no-go frameworks to enable feature or product launches and ensure flawless execution with zero compliance misses
Build audit-ready controls and governance for WSP features from scratch—design control environments and compliance frameworks, maintain audit readiness, and partner with Controllership and Risk on regulatory requirements
Manage and build team cross-training and documentation to eliminate single points of failure and develop team capability in credit operations and Treasury
Skills you'll bring:
7+ years in Treasury, Credit Operations, or Payments with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or senior individual contributor role owning structured credit facility operations, and payment products. —ideally having helped build a credit product (specifically Securitization and ABS)
Strong forecasting, sensitivity analysis, and cash management expertise—you understand how funding costs, utilization rates, and payment cycles affect product economics and can model scenarios that drive operational decisions
Experience with limit and exposure management—setting and monitoring credit thresholds and utilization bands as a portfolio scales
2+ years managing direct reports with a track record of building operational infrastructure, launch readiness frameworks, and scalable controls—not just maintaining existing processes
Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets with SQL knowledge or experience partnering with data teams to build reporting infrastructure; familiarity with Treasury management systems (Kyriba) or payment platforms is a huge asset.
